Carr Concrete is both a National Precast Concrete Association (NPCA) and Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) certified facility that produces box culvert sections and prestressed box beams. Both products have been used for the state, county and city highway systems as well as for private use. Carr Concrete is an approved source for both the Ohio and West Virginia Departments of Transportation. Carr has produced bridge beams and box culvert sections that have been delivered to WV, OH, PA & IN.
Prestressed box beams can be used for either new bridge construction or bridge replacement projects. Carr is capable of producing specialized beams or beams with the following standard thickness: 12", 17", 21", 27", 33", 39" & 42". Standard widths produced are three foot and four foot wide beams with various lengths up to 106' long.
Carr Concrete produces 4 sided box culverts with a 5' span and 3' rise up to 20' span and 10' rise. These culverts can be used for road crossings, ditch enclosures, underground storm water detention, escape tunnels, reclaim tunnels, fresh air shafts and elevator shafts.
